Your first session

About 45 minutes, mostly resting

A first session is the same as every other one. Come ten minutes early for a short conversation and a form, and plan on about 45 minutes in the chair.

Wear what you have on, with sleeves and hair away from your ears. Eat something light first. Bring a list of what you take if you like, though you do not have to.

What happens, step by step

  1. 01

    Step 1: A short conversation

Ismael asks how you are sleeping and what you would like from the session, then explains what will happen.

  2. 02

    Step 2: You choose

Needles or ear seeds. Either way, he cleans each ear first.

  3. 03

    Step 3: You rest

About half an hour in a recliner, with a blanket. Ismael checks in quietly.

  4. 04

    Step 4: You finish

Needles out, a glass of water and a plan for what comes next, if you want one.

What to tell us before we begin

  • Pregnancy

    Tell Ismael before the session.

  • Blood thinners

Tell him what you take and how often.

  • A pacemaker or an implanted device

    Say so first.

  • Lymph node removal

    Tell him which side.

  • A bleeding disorder

    Say so before any needle.

  • A fear of needles

Ear seeds are an easy answer.
